Homework

In order to give you an idea of the type of homework that will be assigned throughout the year, we have created the list below. This list is broken up by content area and gives you examples of what types of assignments your child will be completing. In addition, the quality of your child’s homework is important so we have also included our process for grading mechanics.

Math: -Approximately 6 – 10 problems daily from textbook (graded once a week, ungraded the rest of the time)

-Problem solving twice a week (graded & ungraded)
-Problem of the Week (POTW) assigned every Monday and due on Friday (graded & ungraded)

S.S.: -Graded & ungraded constructed response questions
(CRQ’s) from workbook/worksheet 1 –2 times weekly
-Graded document based question (DBQ) writing with each unit.

Reading: -Graded & ungraded ELA preparation activities 2 – 3 times weekly
