Happy summer! We’re sure everyone will enjoy the sunshine and the good weather that summer has in store for you. It’s a great time of the year!
Summer is also a great time to pick up a book and READ! You can bring a book to the park, the beach, or your own back yard to read and enjoy. Reading alone or with a friend will give you lots of fun filled moments.
So, while you are enjoying these lazy, hazy days of summer, please take the time to read! In the folder we gave you in June you will find a blank book list and some response sheets. Our goal is that you read 5 books over the summer. Be sure to record the book on your book list and complete one response sheet for each book.
It is important that you bring your summer reading folder back on the very first day of school. It is your ticket to a dance party in September! However, this year you will need to read at least 5 books to attend the celebration.
