NHS Visits Boston

The National Honor Society under the auspices of faculty sponsors Mrs. Linda Schmitt and Mrs. Heidi Libertella toured historic Boston for two days. The first day featured a lengthy exploration of the Freedom Trail and then a dinner specially created for the group by a leading seafood house. The next day the group went to the Museum of Science and among other things saw an awesome Imax film about the Colorado River and how global warming is affecting this water lifeline for the West.

Relay for Life 2008
CHS Takes Part

The universality of the appeal to find a cure for cancer bound our community together.
CHS had a team that came in second in fundraising and helped throughout the event. We are proud of the part our students played in helping to make this one of the most successful Relay years ever. Great job Blue Devils and congratulations to all in the community who helped to make Camden’s assault on cancer meaningful.

Paper or Plastic?

Imagine this: you’re at the mall, ready to make your last stop of the day. You’re walking toward any random bookseller - Borders or Barnes and Noble - to browse around, grab a chair and peruse your finds, enveloped in the sweet scents of coffees brewing in the café and the sounds of fellow readers flipping through glossy magazine pages. Now imagine the mall bookstores of the future: same old chairs, same old cafés, same old customers… but the shelves are filled with strange, white plastic devices.

Everyone seems to have their own opinion on, well, everything; how Social Security should work, which candidate would be better, and where we should be fighting. But, as the writer of the editorial points out, most of our opinions are based on nothing.

Wishing the Class of 2008 continued success in all of their endeavors!
