Classroom Expectations
Be on time
Be prepared
Be respectful
Use classroom appropriate language
The teacher dismisses class, not the bell.
Three late’s = teacher assigned detention or a Main Office Referral if the former is not completed.
*See classroom discipline policy listed in the course outline.
My #1 rule is RESPECT! All students should…
Respect themselves.
Respect me.
Respect others.
Respect other’s property (including school property).
In return I promise to give you the respect that you deserve.
Follow all applicable school rules (including the dress code).
Refrain from giving me "instant feedback." I spend hours putting together any lesson that we do. I’m always happy to take constructive feedback outside of class.
Classroom Procedures: Every day I expect my students to…
Place homework assignments in the appropriate box.
Bring their textbook, a notebook and something to write with.
Remove graded papers from the appropriate box and pass them out before class starts.
Use the bathroom BEFORE class starts. Must sign out of the yellow folder and get a pass.
Be at their seats and ready to start class when the bell rings. Three tardies within a six-week period will lead to teacher assigned detention or a referral.
Read over the instructions posted on the chalkboard.
Begin any "bell ringer" assignment that is on the board or on the overhead.
Pay attention.
Refrain from talking while I am talking!
Raise their hands when they want to speak.
Clean up the remains of any food or beverages that they bring to class.
Keep working until I direct them to pack up.
Remain at their seats until the bell rings.
Take responsibility for their own learning.
Be sure to use your resources!!
