The Camden School District is a co-recipient of a Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) grant which facilitates after school modules for students in Grades K-8. All modules are taught by Camden faculty.
Now that the Camden Middle School Broadcasting Club is up and running, this is a chance for newcomers to jump on board and veterans to re-register! Each reporter is encouraged to develop an idea of interest as well as create a daily school announcement outlining the events and activities happening at CMS. There are various roles to learn such as production, editing and anchoring. Also, learn to work hand in hand with professionals from WKTV Newschannel 2. We will also take a trip to WKTV to tour the studio!
Teams of chefs will focus on basic culinary skills, food safety, team building, diversity, self-esteem and nutrition awareness. Teams will compete against each other for prizes as the “Top Chefs”. Chefs will have the opportunity to experience themselves as special, creative human beings capable of nurturing themselves as others through food choices and preparation for a lifetime of of good health!
Click! This is a hands-on beginner course for budding digital photographers! You will begin to see the world in a whole new light through the lens of your camera. We will explore the surrounding areas of our beautiful village, experiment with portraits, mystery shots and even action/sports photography, as we search for the perfect shot! Back in the classroom, we will see what we captured and enhance some of our favorites using Photoshop. Participants will transform from the blossoming photographer to the more experienced shutterbug!
