Title 1 Community Feedback MeetingDear Parents & Caregivers; Teachers, Admin & Staff; Students & Family Members; Community & Business Partners:
Camden Central School receives some federal aid through a program known as Title I. This financial assistance helps provide all children with a significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and also to close educational achievement gaps among groups of students. This federal program provides supplemental financial assistance to school districts/schools with a high percentage of children from low-income families, to provide all children a significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, high-quality education and to close educational achievement gaps.
The district will be hosting a virtual informational meeting relating to Title I on the evening of Wednesday, September 16, 2020 to ask parents, families and community members for their input and feedback on how we did for the 2019-20 School year. We ask attendees to let us know if there are any barriers that they feel are hindering parent involvement in Title I activities.
Below is a brief agenda of items we would like to discuss with members from all areas of the district, with a particular emphasis on families whose children attend the Middle school, Camden Elementary, or McConnellsville Elementary.
