Announcements
Camden Middle School, in collaboration with Mrs. Jessica Perusse, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, will be offering a grief support group for students.  This group will focus on hope and healing as well as what we can do as a community to best support each other.  The group will meet on Tuesdays, from 2:30-3:30, beginning on July 16, in the Middle School Library Media Center.  Parents need to be present to sign their child in for the session and should then return at 3:30 to pick their child up.  If you have any questions, please contact the Middle School Guidance Office.

August 2019

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

I am pleased to welcome you back to the 2019-20 school year!  I hope you enjoyed a summer vacation filled with fun and exciting memories with your loved ones. We are thrilled to welcome all of you back to a new school year of learning and growing. I would like to extend a special welcome to all of the new families joining Camden Middle School this year and welcome back all of our returning families as well!

Personally, I am grateful and elated to continue this journey with you as your Principal. Our goal at Camden Middle School is to work together to provide our students with a rich learning environment. My vision, as the principal, is to always put kids first! My belief is that all students can learn. As educators, we need to discover how each child learns in order to differentiate our instruction to support diverse learning styles. In a collaborative effort, we want children to thrive in all ways possible. My hope is that all children will LOVE school and I hope to nurture a learning environment that is positive, safe, and caring,as well as a fun place to learn and grow.

I would like to personally invite you to our Open House on Thursday, September 26, 2019 beginning at 6:00pm. At our Open House you will have the opportunity to meet the CMS administration, guidance department and teachers. Each grade level will have a scheduled time in the auditorium where brief introductions and an overview will take place. After this brief meeting, parents and guardians will be able to move throughout the school to visit with classroom teachers. We will follow the schedule below:

Grade Level  Auditorium

and Greet
Grade 5 6:00 - 6:15 6:20 - 7:30
Grade 6 6:20 - 6:35 6:00 - 6:20 and 6:40 - 7:30
Grade 7 6:40 - 6:55 6:00 - 7:00 and 7:00 - 7:30
Grade 8 7:00 - 7:15 6:00 - 7:00 and 7:15 - 7:30

Student success is attributed to the partnership and the relationships we build within our community. It truly does take a village! Education is a joint venture and Camden Middle School greatly appreciates the support you provide for your children at home and at school to help them meet their learning goals.  Without the support of parent contributions through our Parent Connection Group (find us on Facebook!) and our generous community, we would not have many of the programs that make CMS so unique and successful.

I hope that you enjoy what is remaining of summer vacation and come back ready to go! We sure are ready to have you back! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Middle School!

All the best,

Mrs. Brittany DerCola,
Principal Camden Middle School
