    HEELIES POLICY

Several of our students have returned from Christmas vacation sporting sneaker “heelies” and have been roller skating through the halls. This has caused several mishaps, thus, it has become a health and safety concern. One of our cute little tykes, when stopped in the hall, said he wasn’t running, he was skating. Very clever distinction!!! Effective immediately, we will ask parents that students keep the wheel part of the sneaker at home. We appreciate your cooperation.

    PTO HIGHLIGHTS

This past month was quite busy. The PTO thanks and appreciates all of the volunteers who gave so generously of their time during the pizza sale, Secret Santa week, Book Fair, and chocolate sale. A big thanks goes out to: Mr. and Mrs. Domachowske, Mr. and Mrs. Isom, Mr. and Mrs. Geer, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Harp, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Seamans, Mrs. Nedell, Mrs. Lessels, Mrs. Manchester, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Marsh, Mrs. Vanderweyde, Mrs. Wilczak, Mrs. Hanvey, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Galway, Mrs. Suppa, Mrs. LaGasse, Mrs. D’Angelo, Mrs. Lamach, Mrs. Minsaas, Mrs. Grey, Mrs. Lowe, Mrs. Wagner, Mrs. Brost, Mrs. Bird, and Mrs. Matthews Without you, the PTO would not be able to succeed.

    ELA TESTING

Heavens to Mergutroid, as Snagglepuss would say, the ELA testing for grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 is finally over. We are very proud to say that our kids took the tests quite seriously and put forth their best effort. Scoring will take place over the next two weeks but the state education department does not release the scores until well into the next school year. So much for testing students in January to ascertain in a timely fashion how they’re doing!!!
