Today was the final day of Camden's Camp Sum-Mor-Fun! To go along with the first week's theme, "Everyday Heros", the first grade students have been running a can and bottle drive. Day 7 at Camp Sum-Mor-Fun was full of exciting events! The K-2 campers continued with the "Under the Big Top" theme with many activities that showcased lions, elephants, or clowns. Tycoon Juniors had another successful day of selling at their Summer S'more Shop! Today began the second week of Camp Sum-Mor-Fun and was filled with special guests and exciting activities!  The day began with a visit from Naomi, a NAI robot that is owned by Model Schools.  Naomi performs many tasks including talking and dancing!  Her human-like balance was amazing to watch and the campers greatly enjoyed her.  Naomi and her "manager"... more info

The first week at Camp Sum-Mor-Fun was wrapped up today with fun and exciting activities! Today marked the first day of K-2's new theme of "Under the Big Top". Day 4 at Camp Sum-Mor-Fun was jam-packed with many exciting visitors, activities, and field trips!  Today wrapped up the first theme of Everyday Heroes for the K-2 students.  Many of the students got fingerprinted and had their photos taken by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They also learned many different safety rules.  The Lego Robotics... more info

Day 3 at Camp Sum-Mor-Fun started off with a visit from a real firefighter, Camp Director Louise Rutherford! July 14, 2014:  Opening Day for Camp Sum-Mor-Fun!  Today was the first day of Camp Sum-Mor-Fun.  There were 333 campers in attendance and 29 counselors.  Week 1 for the K-2 session has a theme of "Every Day Heros".  For Grades 3-5, these campers will be involved in one session for both weeks.  They could be participating in Amazing Race: Camden, E-Magination, Let-Go... more info

Learning from the Zoo-Mobile!
Day 2 at Camp Sum-Mor-Fun was full of fun and exciting events! There was a guest visit from the Utica Zoo-Mobile. K-2 students were able to see a box turtle, a ball python, a bard owl, and a possum. Students learned many fun facts about all of these rescued animals and were even able to touch some of them.
