First Annual CMS Staff Pumpkin Contest

First Annual CMS Staff Pumpkin Contest

The first annual CMS pumpkin contest was held in the Media Center. Nineteen pumpkins were handed out to all departments in the school; they were given 1 week to decorate their pumpkin and return to the Media Center. The rules were: no carving of the pumpkin and they could only use materials that were here at the school (no outside materials allowed).

The students were allowed to come to the Media Center over a 2 day period of time, and vote on their favorite pumpkin. The winners of the contest were announced on Halloween.

1st place (winning by 1 vote) - Cat in the Hat decorated by the ELA Department

2nd place - Einstein decorated by the Science Department

3rd place - Wilma the Pig - decorated by Kim Denison of the Attendance Office

The teachers were allowed to vote at a different polling spot. The winner of the 2016 CMS STAFF CHOICE AWARD went to WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE decorated by Nannette Burt of the Media Center

Both staff and students had an AWESOME time!
