large view iPod Touch (version 4) |
In the Camden Central School District, we are currently deploying iPod touches as a learning tool in some of our classrooms. These devices allow students mobile access to the web and apps chosen by their instructors, as well as a way to create and deliver content from peer to peer or student to teacher. The devices also have a software called ResponseWare on them, which allows a teacher to deploy questions in the form of formative or summative assessments. This will give valuable, instantaneous data to the teachers in these classrooms that can be used to cover material students are struggling with. We will be following the progress of these students closely to see how the use of these devices and this software is impacting their educational outcomes, and will update you on their achievements throughout the year.
