New Staff Gathers For Orientation8/23/21
CAMDEN, NY - New staff members in the Camden Central School District were able to convene under one roof for the first time as part of the District's new staff orientation program. The program began on Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at Camden High School's Tuthill Learning Center.
Attendees are engaging in a jam-packed schedule of activities and presentations designed to help them make the most of their time in the district.
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Jason Evangelist spoke to the group about the lines of communication within the district, and who can best support them with any questions they may have. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ravo Root elaborated on his experiences as an educator, and how the district's mission statement and vision can serve as a guiding point as the new staff members navigate their first year. Assistant Superintendent for Business Karl Keil addressed the staff about their relationship to the business office, and about the many benefits available to them as members of the Camden Central School District community.
A multitude of other speakers and sessions are planned, and the new staff members will also be taken on a tour of the district and its buildings to gain a better understanding of how to serve the student population and the community at large. The Camden district is one of the most geographically vast districts in the State of New York.
Following Orientation, professional development will continue ahead of the school year with the Superintendent's Conference Days on September 1st and 2nd.
