Signing Day Class

Eleven graduating student-athletes from Camden High School were celebrated for their decision to play at the next level on Tuesday, June 13th. Parents, coaches, administrators, teachers, board of education members, and friends gathered in the CHS volleyball gymnasium to watch and support these student athletes as they affirmed their commitment to play college sports through Camden’s 2023 Signing Day Ceremony.

Surrounded by their families, each student-athlete signed their letter of intent, or the appropriate commitment form as provided for by their chosen school’s governing body of athletics and level of competition. The student-athletes will pursue opportunities in a total of six different sports at six different institutions.

At the outset of the ceremony, Athletic Director Josh Mazzaferro reminded all in attendance about the magnitude of the moment.

"To reach the point we celebrate today, our signees have not only confronted the honesty of competition, but they have risen above it,” Mazzaferro said. “When they received news that improvement was needed, they all realized hard work was necessary. This moment for our signees is a milestone in their athletic careers. It’s an authentic example of where there is a tangible result for your hard work and deep, sustained commitment. It’s a moment where competition, in its honesty, shows its other side - the side that reveals what we are capable of.”
