Camden High School -

Five students from the Camden Central School District will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a unique three-day leadership experience this Spring. The Camden High School Counseling Office recently announced that sophomores Laura Albrecht, Kamryn Gloude, Gracie Loomis, Aubrey Mitchell and Adam Orsino have been selected as the District’s ambassadors for the 2026 HOBY Leadership Conference. The upcoming conference will be held at Hobart and William Smith Colleges from June 12th to 14th.

Camden’s representatives will join a group of over 300 high school students from around the state for the annual program. HOBY is an inspiring multi-day leadership seminar focusing on three perspectives of leadership: Personal, Group, and Societal. The students will have the opportunity to network with and learn from leaders from across the region in a range of disciplines, do hands-on leadership activities, participate in community service, and experience a short example of life on a highly-regarded college campus.

This experience can help open doors for internships and mentoring programs, while also building a network of like-minded peers from across the region in the process.

Camden has been sending High School sophomores to attend HOBY for over 25 years. Their experiences have motivated them to pursue more community service, and at times, inspire their career path.

Student attendance at this exciting conference is made possible through the continued generosity of the Tuthill family, and its grant funding awarded to the District in memory of Virginia and Stedman Tuthill.
