Let's take a moment to acknowledge some of our very special guest stars from last weekend's performances. First, the youth ensembles.
Because of the makeup of the script, the show "Oliver!" provides our elementary and middle school students with a unique chance to be part of the company with the high school students. It's challenging and rewarding at the same time. This group of approximately 35 students had the responsibility to set the tone for the show with the opening number, and they exceeded the standard set before them.
Whether it's in a middle school or high school production, we look forward to seeing all of you on stage again soon!
Congratulations to the cast and crew of our 2024 CHS Musical, "Oliver!". Over two days, these students, of all ages, put on three spectacular shows.
Getting ready for the show is no easy task, as it requires months of preparation and personal commitment to the task at hand. The hard work pays off in performance, along with the profound personal growth and learning that can happen when a student participates in theater.

"Consider Yourself" invited to attend our musical performances this weekend! Opening night is TONIGHT (Friday 3/1) at 7 PM! There will be a 2 PM matinee and a 7:30 closing performance on Saturday, 3/2.
Admission for all three shows is free of charge. Reservations, while encouraged, are not required.

Congratulations to Billy Bernabe on his performance at the New York State Alpine Skiing Championships earlier this week! Billy tackled the giant slalom course at the world-renowned Whiteface Mountain Ski Center in Lake Placid with a terrific 10th place finish out of 66 competitors!

CHS did Oliver back in 1990, and in remembrance of that occasion, there will be cast photos from that year on display throughout this weekend's performances! Come to one of the shows for a closer look!
CHS was honored to host a few members of the extended CCSD family that work on the team at local manufacturing firm Collins Aerospace! LeRyiah Buckingham '18 was on hand representing the company to our students, and Allison Holmes, the daughter of McVille teacher Sue Holmes, also presented about her job in the engineering field.

Pictures from Friday's Section III Quarterfinal at Chittenango. Not the result we had hoped for in a 58-53 loss, but certainly an effort to be proud of as the boys battled all the way down to the wire. The Blue Devils wrap up a terrific season at a 16-5 overall record.

Update: Kolton and Talon wrestled in tight matches, but unfortunately, both lost by decision in their first championship bracket bouts at states.
However, there's still plenty to earn and compete for in the consolation bracket, with podium places 3 through 7 on offer. Kolton is seeking a second straight state podium, while Talon is hunting for his first.
