Is your student looking for a spring sport? How about golf or tennis? The Camden CSD Athletic Department is looking for interested athletes for both sports for the Spring 2024 season. Grades 7-12 are eligible. Please note a Middle School athlete must pass the APP test for varsity tennis competition.
High Schoolers can see Mr. Mazzaferro with questions. Middle School students should see Mr. Klatt for more information on how to get started.
Once that's squared away, you can register with FamilyID/Arbiter here!

Pictures from Friday's Section III Quarterfinal at Chittenango. Not the result we had hoped for in a 58-53 loss, but certainly an effort to be proud of as the boys battled all the way down to the wire. The Blue Devils wrap up a terrific season at a 16-5 overall record.

Update: Kolton and Talon wrestled in tight matches, but unfortunately, both lost by decision in their first championship bracket bouts at states.
However, there's still plenty to earn and compete for in the consolation bracket, with podium places 3 through 7 on offer. Kolton is seeking a second straight state podium, while Talon is hunting for his first.
This is how the road ahead looks now. Keep after it, gentlemen!

Camden High School art students have been preparing posters for the American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Poster Contest!
The national organization holds this contest each year to give young people the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents and creativity, while also bringing to light the work the Auxiliary's Poppy Program does to support hospitalized and disabled veterans, while remembering those who have given their lives. The Poppy Program distributes millions of poppies each year in exchange for donations in order to accomplish these goals. National Poppy Day is held on the Friday before Memorial Day.

Congratulations to Kolton Kelley and Talon Kimball! Kelley won an individual Section III Division II Wrestling Championship for a second straight year this weekend, while Kimball scored a runner-up finish in his weight class!
Both athletes will advance to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships to be held on February 23rd and 24th at MVP Arena in Albany.
As a junior, Kolton will represent Camden and Section III as its champion in the 131 lb. weight class, and will attend a second straight state meet. He was seventh in the state at 126 lbs a year ago. Talon will be appearing at his first state meet while wrestling at 116 lbs., and represents a big part of the state's long-term future in the sport as an eighth grader!
