Today's the day. Two Blue Devils hit the mat in the 2026 NYSPHSAA Girls' Wrestling Championships at Albany's MVP Arena! Wrestling starts at 9:30, but you'll need to keep an eye on the mat assignments to see when our student-athletes will compete, as it's dependent on the pace of other matches taking place.

Sophomore Rylie Meagher is the 7th seed in the 120 bracket. She will battle Isabella Juliano of Bay Shore in bout #39.

Senior Astro Johnson is unseeded at 185, and will meet Bethlehem's Charleigh Eick in Bout 95.

In addition, scammers love to mass tag participating schools/organizations in comments under their own posts. So be wary of that as well.

Across theatre and sports, it's a busy weekend in Blue Devil country. Amidst the flurry of challenges and opportunities ahead, you may not find anyone quite as busy as CHS senior Gage Grinnell. On Friday, Gage and the CHS Musical Cast open their production of "Big Fish" with a 7 PM performance, where he is starring in the lead male role as storyteller extraordinaire Edward Bloom.

That seems busy enough for one day, but on Saturday, it all goes up a notch. On Saturday morning, Gage will briefly switch characters - and eras - as he takes part in the Syracuse Regional Shakespeare Competition hosted by the Syracuse Branch of the English Speaking Union. As Camden's school-wide champion, he will perform a Shakespearean Monologue, and a Shakespearean Sonnet for the judges. The winner advances to the national competition in New York City.

Once the competition is complete, he will head back to Camden for two more "Big Fish" performances. A 2 PM matinee, and a 7:30 PM concluding performance.

Whether it's on our stage, or at Syracuse Stage, best of luck this weekend from all of us!

It's a NEW track record! Congratulations to freshman Cameron Calkins for setting a new benchmark for the wooden CO2 dragster unit in our DDP (Design, Drawing, and Production) classes at Camden High School! Cameron's car put down a time of 1.016 in the semifinals to set the record, and he nearly repeated it in the final with a winning time of 1.019 seconds.

His time tops the previous record (1.058) set by Alex Lallier in 2024.

Students have been competing with their hand-built creations across three weight classes this week. Stay tuned for more on the competition!

Good Morning,

It has come to our attention that some parents unfortunately did not receive notification of the two hour delay this morning via ParentSquare as expected. This issue appears to stem from a group of accounts being suddenly deactivated, and is affecting some accounts across all district buildings.

Our technology team is working with our partners at the Mohawk Regional Information Center and ParentSquare to establish a greater understanding of the cause and achieve a resolution.

The District will keep you updated on progress and a resolution.

We're sending ANOTHER Blue Devil to Albany! Congratulations to Astro Johnson on qualifying for the NYSPHSAA State Girls' Wrestling Championship for the first time! After an early setback in the 185 quarterfinals at the Section III Championship, the senior ran the table in the consolation bracket, then won the true second match over Fulton's Hayleigh Lenz to secure a spot at states.

Astro will join our newly minted Section III champion, Rylie Meagher, at the NYSPHSAA Girls' Wrestling Championship on February 26th. Way to go!

We have a Section III Champion! Rylie Meagher makes a clean run through the 120 bracket for her first Section III title!

Rylie advances to the 2026 New York State Public High School Athletic Association Girls' Wrestling Championship, to be held on Thursday, February 26th at Albany's MVP Arena.

This will be her third appearance at a season-culminating NYSPHSAA event, and her first at one held under "State Championship" status. She appeared in the 2023 and 2024 NYSPHSAA State Girls Wrestling Invitational tournaments in Syracuse, landing a third place finish in 2023.

Blue Devils! Don't forget about the Syracuse Area Music Awards (SAMMYs) People's Choice Awards voting for 2026! They are down to the top eight in each category, and we still have Camden-area entrants in the hunt for all four categories, including our very own Camden High School Band in the area of "Local Academic or Musical Organization".

The fifth round closes on Sunday, February 15th. You can vote once per IP Address per day. If you want to vote on multiple mobile devices in your home, using your cell data is recommended, as you'll only be able to use your home connection once per day. Let's get our community and CHS into the next round!
