Camden is sending three bowlers to the Section III Individual Shootout event this afternoon in Syracuse! This is the first day of a two-day event, with the top 50 percent (approx.) of competitors advancing to the second day of competition. Successful bowlers on day two can earn a spot on the Section III composite teams at the upcoming New York State Championship.

Day One Update: CHS Senior Billy Bernabe placed fifteenth out of a field of 66 competitors in Monday's Giant Slalom at the New York State Championships hosted by Gore Mountain. After an 18th place opening run, he went over three seconds quicker on the second run to move up the leaderboard. Onto day two and the slalom event! Good luck, and hit your marks out there!

SHOW WEEK IS HERE!!! Join us this weekend for a show featuring all the hits you remember, and a story you'll never forget. The Camden High School Music Department presents the ninth longest-running show in the history of Broadway, "Mamma Mia!" on Friday, February 28th, and Saturday, March 1st in the Camden High School Auditorium. Friday's show starts at 7 PM, and Saturday will feature a 2 PM matinee, and a 7:30 PM final performance.

The show starts ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, and runs from February 28th (7 PM) to March 1st (2 PM, 7:30 PM) in the CHS Auditorium. Admission is free!

Join the Camden Clay Target Team as it gets ready to take aim at its second season! The team provides the opportunity to learn the ropes and compete in shooting sports in a safe, carefully supervised environment, with opportunities to advance to state and national championships! Signups will be held on February 26th and 27th in the Camden High School Cafeteria. They will be held from 6 to 8 PM each of those two nights. Please bring your student’s hunting license or hunting certificate. This opportunity is open to students in grades 9-12, including spring athletes! The team competes in regular season contests remotely, and holds practices at its home base, the Camden Rod and Gun Club. Please note that although this opportunity is available to students playing a spring sport, spring sports practices and games take precedence over the clay target club. If any conflicts arise, athletes should communicate with ​their coaches. A range safety course will be required for all new competitors, and will be held sometime in mid-March. Practices will begin at the end of March and will be held on Sundays until competitions begin, and then on Wednesday evenings once the team is in the competition season. Contact the CCSD Athletic Department with any questions.

Last night, the Mohawk Valley Jugglers cooperative ice hockey program played its Section III playoff opener. Unfortunately, the team took an 8-4 loss to Watertown IHC to end its campaign, but Camden High School senior Brodie Buckingham certainly made his last moments of high school hockey memorable. With just under a minute to play, the senior defenseman scored his first-ever varsity goal to finish off his high school hockey journey in style. Way to go Brodie! If your young hockey player wants the opportunity to play high school varsity hockey while still attending CHS, it is possible! Follow the Mohawk Valley Jugglers on Facebook to learn more about this combined program. Current CHS sophomore Evan Buckingham is the team's starting goaltender.

The brackets are out! Camden boys' basketball draws the twelfth seed in the 2025 Section III Class A tournament. They will hit the road to take on fifth-seeded South Jefferson in the round of 16 on Friday night, with tip time set for 6 PM. Let's go Blue Devils!

UPDATE: Student activities WILL be allowed to proceed today, including all basketball games. The JV and Varsity Boys' Basketball teams will be in action against Holland Patent tonight at home. JV starts at 5, Varsity at 6:30. If Boys' Varsity wins tonight, they can take what is believed to be their first league title since the 1956-57 season. The Varsity Girls' Basketball team will be at Holland Patent for a 6 PM tip. This is a Varsity only date. For all other scheduled activities, your respective advisors will have more information on their plans for the day.

Good Morning Blue Devils Community, As an added note, the Village and Town of Camden have declared a Snow Emergency until the storm lifts. We have a Section III Wrestling Champion! Congratulations to Abigail Hebble on her title at 165 today! Also for the Blue Devils: Rylie Meagher was third, and Astro Johnson placed fifth in their respective classes! Way to go, team!

On Sunday, February 16th, the Camden Girls’ Varsity Wrestling team will compete in the Section III Girls’ Wrestling Championship held at Onondaga Community College’s SRC Arena. The Blue Devils will send nine athletes to the mats for a chance at Sectional championship glory and the opportunity to advance to the first-ever state meet with “state championship” status. Competition today has an adjusted start time of 11:30 as it stands now, but certainly keep an eye on Section III if they see fit to make any additional changes.
