The NYS Sportswriters' Association All-State Softball Teams are out, and a Blue Devil is on the list. Congratulations to Camryn Shenk '25 on her fourth team selection!

Good Morning Blue Devils,
After careful consideration of the conditions, the Camden Central School District will be open on Monday, June 23rd, 2025. All District buildings have power at this time. As a reminder, this is a scheduled half day for Elementary and Middle School students.
We understand that several roads may be impassable for our buses and/or your vehicles at this time. With this in mind, some students may not be able to be picked up today and some bus routes may run noticeably off schedule.
In the event a bus cannot reach you, and you are still capable of bringing your child to school with your own vehicle, you are welcome to do so. If your child is absent because they are unable to be transported to school, it will count as an excused absence for today.
Thank you for your time and consideration as we strive toward a safe opening for staff and students.

Good evening Camden CSD School Community,
We hope everyone is safe and managing through this latest storm. We are monitoring the power outages and road conditions throughout the District. If the situation requires us to close school tomorrow, we will exhaust our snow/emergency days. As stated in our communication from May 23rd, it would become necessary for staff and students to report for an additional half day on Friday, June 27th.
At this time, we are hoping that the conditions will improve and we will be able to hold school tomorrow. We will keep everyone updated as we continue to monitor the conditions throughout the evening. Stay Safe.

Senior student-athletes Jacob Lago and Olivia Hooker had the opportunity to represent Camden High School at one of Section III’s most prominent and prestigious events on Monday, June 9th. The duo were recognized as part of the 2025 Section III Scholar-Athlete Award Dinner held at Onondaga Community College.
Held each year, the Section III Scholar-Athlete Award Dinner celebrates selected high school seniors from all 106 member schools who have distinguished themselves from their peers through exemplary athletic and academic achievement. To be eligible, a student-athlete must hold at least a 90 percent cumulative grade point average while participating in a varsity sports program. Each school can nominate two student-athletes who meet the requirements.
Lago competed in cross country, spring track and field, and alpine skiing this year. He will depart CHS as the Class of 2025’s seventh-ranked graduate. He recently finished up a manufacturing/engineering internship at International Wire, and plans to enter the United States Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program.
Hooker competed in soccer, volleyball, and spring track and field in her senior year. She will graduate sixth in her class, and plans to attend Penn State University to study Physical Therapy/Kinesiology.
All Section III Scholar Athlete Dinner honorees receive a scholarship check and a commemorative plaque. There are also additional awards from the sponsors, and Olivia was fortunate enough to receive an additional award from Section III’s ticketing partner, Hometown Ticketing!

To borrow from a certain movie title..... we certainly saw some Fast Times (and great field event marks, too) at Camden High during last week's Section III Championships!

Congratulations to Camden High School students Thomas Ross, Jackson Wolford, and Josh Stevens on achieving “Half Ton Club” status during the 2024-25 school year!
The “Half Ton Club” is a recognition program that acknowledges students for hard work and commitment to their goals in the weight room. To become a member, a student must complete three lifts meeting or exceeding 1,000 pounds. The three lifts consist of the squat, deadlift, and bench press.
Ross completed his milestone in October, and Stevens and Wolford completed theirs on the same day in May!
Students interested in joining this club should see Mr. Klepadlo at Camden High School for more info.

Best of luck to our Blue Devil Track and Field athletes that have earned the opportunity to participate in the Section III State Qualifier meets today and Thursday!

Last week, the Modified Girls Track Team celebrated the end of their season at Coneheads North! This was their “banquet” to recognize the hard work that the athletes have put in since the end of March. The girls had ice cream, played some lawn games, and they also enjoyed talking about the great season they've had!

At Thursday's Section III Class A Championship Meet, two Blue Devils took top honors! Congratulations to Brenden Chennells (800 meters), and Ellie Hite (pentathlon) on securing event championships on their home track!
Brenden ran a 1:59.88 to win and put himself less than a second away from the school record.
Ellie endured the grind of a five-event evening (100m Hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, Long Jump, 800m) to capture the pentathlon championship. She was a top two performer among the field in all five events. A very special mention goes to Anna Gilsenan, who was a close second in the pentathlon at 2,027 points, and won two out of the five events in it.

Let's Roll! Camden and New Hartford for the Section III Class A Softball title!

Let's do it again, Blue!

It's tough to run a track meet efficiently without a great group of officials to help keep the events moving forward. Luckily for us, we had a great group of student volunteers to help us yesterday! They not only kept our events operating smoothly, but also gave our younger students a glimpse into the leadership skills they'll need to succeed in high school.

One day, two locations, two playoff games for varsity baseball and softball!
Varsity softball is in the Section III Semifinals against Jamesville-Dewitt this afternoon. First pitch is set for 4:30 PM at Carrier Park in Syracuse. To see the Blue Devils work on the next step in their title defense, you will need a ticket. You can find more information at this link:

Varsity baseball starts its postseason quest tonight against Homer. First pitch is set for 6:30 at Camden Middle School. As a preliminary round game, admission to this contest is free, so if you're not headed to Carrier Park, feel free to come and join us closer to home!
Wherever you're going, go blue!

The Camden Field Hockey Summer Youth Clinic Series is back for 2025! In its fifth year, the clinic will bring students in kindergarten through sixth grade together to learn the game of field hockey with six hour-long sessions held weekly.
The cost is 25 dollars and includes a t-shirt. Proceeds will benefit the Camden Field Hockey Boosters. Follow them on Facebook if you need more information, and to keep up with any program changes that could happen due to weather, etc.

Blue Devil Softball wins 11-3 over Westhill to move on to the Section III Semifinals! That will be held on Tuesday at Carrier Park in Syracuse. They will play the winner of the matchup between Jamesville-Dewitt or South Jefferson, with first pitch set for 4:30 PM.
Per Section III policy, the semis and finals are digital tickets through HomeTown Ticketing. When the Section puts them on sale, they will appear here: https://section3.org/sports/2021/4/29/hometown-ticketing.aspx
