The Camden Girls' Varsity Volleyball program recently held its senior night festivities for the Class of 2024! Senior players Brooke Musch, Avery Prievo, Leah Runion and Braelin Page, along with manager Kevin Gloude, have played an important role in positioning the Blue Devils at an outstanding 11-0 start, and building off the great strides the program made last year under head coach Katherine Migliori.
The Blue Devils are just one of three teams in Section III Girls' Winter Volleyball to be undefeated at this point, and are the only unbeaten squad in Section III Class A!
The team is set to be back at home tonight against ESM! Match time is set for 7 PM!

At last night's Board of Education meeting, it was our privilege to present Connor Dean '23 with his state championship ring!
The 2023 boys' pentathlon state champion is now in his freshman year at Utica University, where he has been mainly competing in sprint and jumping events up to this point for the Pioneers. Utica returns to the track on Friday night at Hamilton College.

The Camden Central School District has cancelled after school activities for Tuesday, January 16. The Board of Education will still meet as scheduled at 7 PM in the CHS Library Media Center.

Happy holidays from the Camden Central School District!

Members of the CHS Select Choir have been busy this month! The group has been out caroling at the Holiday Stroll, and Toys for Tots! Last night, they brought their talents to a few households around the village!
It's always great to see our student musicians spreading cheer around the community, and we're certainly excited about the upcoming musical and spring concert seasons that await us!

On the evening of Thursday, 12/21, the Connected Community Schools team will be hosting Open Hub hours at CHS! The Blue Devil had to call for a sub last night. As it turns out, he knew just the person to ask.

The Cooper's Angels initiative has experienced incredible support from the CCSD community, including at CHS! All of these items, many of which were Cooper's favorites, are on their way to their new home in Canastota soon at the Wanderer's Rest Humane Association.
The Drama Club will host a "Photos with Santa" initiative on Thursday for their fellow students to help ensure the donation being made in memory of Cooper is even larger!

On Friday, December 8th, Camden High School was fortunate to be selected to pilot a new presentation for the nationally renowned Rachel's Challenge Program. The Chain Check event was designed to follow the popular Chain Reaction portion of Rachel's Challenge. During this time, adult facilitators worked to do activities that checked in with the students and discussed ways to promote a positive and kind environment at CHS. The event was well-received and a great experience for the students and staff.

Congratulations to CHS Senior Emily Bird!
Emily was selected to receive All-Star honors as part of the Apex Division III Field Hockey showcase held in Spooky Nook, Pennsylvania on November 18th. As an All-Star, she was deemed to be one of the best eleven players out of over 80 attendees while competing in front of dozens of college coaches.
Emily recently committed to attend York College in the Fall of 2024.
Congratulations!
