The Camden Central School District is pleased to announce that Camden High School graduate Dr. Brianne Barker '98 will be returning to the hit game show Jeopardy! this week.
The Class of 1998 Valedictorian will return to the long-running show in an episode scheduled to air nationwide on Friday, December 1st. She is participating in the quarterfinal round Jeopardy! Champions Wild Card Tournament, and competing for the right to earn a coveted spot in the upcoming Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions.
Barker was selected for this opportunity after achieving one-day champion status during a two-episode stint on the show in July 2022. Her two-day cash winnings totaled $12,700.
Barker is currently an Associate Professor of Biology at Drew University in New Jersey, where she has served as part of the faculty for the past decade. At Camden High School, she was a member of a regional champion field hockey team, an accomplished Cello player, a Mathletics participant, and a member of the CHS National Honor Society chapter. She also attended Camden Elementary School and Camden Middle School.
She went on to attend Duke University to study Biology. After Duke, Brianne received her PhD from Harvard.
How to Watch:
For those who receive local channels from Utica, you will have two opportunities to catch the show. The show's regularly scheduled time slot on Friday, December 1st was pre-empted by local specialty programming on WKTV. However, WKTV intends to air the show twice including a special same-day airing.
The show will air on WKTV (NBC) on Friday, December 1st at 5:30 PM. It will air a second time on Saturday, December 2nd in the show's regular time slot at 7:30 PM.
For those who receive their local channels from Syracuse, the show will air in its regularly scheduled time slot on the Syracuse-area FOX affiliate, WSYT. It can be seen on Friday, December 1st at 7:30 PM.
