CMS Inducts New NJHS Membership

CAMDEN, NY - A distinguished group of students at Camden Middle School can now call themselves members of the National Junior Honor Society. The Camden Chapter held its induction ceremony on Wednesday, June 22nd in the Camden Middle School Auditorium.

The evening featured recognition of the 2021-22 membership, the NJHS candle ceremony and pledge, a poem written by members Abigail Miller and Myah Ouderkirk, an address from principal Brittany DerCola, and musical performances by Opus and the CMS Jazz Ensemble.

To earn membership, a student must meet rigorous academic and community service standards, and also write an essay explaining how they live up to the society’s values of leadership, scholarship, character, and service.
