On Thursday, CHS Orchestra students took a field trip yesterday to see Beetlejuice: The Musical in Syracuse. This was their second trip this year to see a musical event as made possible through fundraising and Arts in Education!

Introducing the Camden Unified Basketball class of 2025!
Prior to yesterday's 49-28 win over Oneida, seniors Stephan Parry, Charles Vaillancourt, MettaRose Grinnell, Patrick Eveleth, and Jayden Osborne were recognized for their dedication to the Unified Basketball program.
The Blue Devils are 4-1 as they start gearing up for their end-of-season tournament!

Camden High School is pleased to announce that we will be providing free driver education for CHS Students this summer. Any current student interested in participating should stop into the Counseling Office to pick up a registration form. Forms are due back to the Counseling Office no later than June 6th. Two sessions will be offered: one will run from July 1 - July 23rd and the second will run July 25th - August 14th. No absences are allowed during driver ed due to state requirements. Students must have a valid driving permit or license prior to July 1st. See your CHS School Counselor with any questions.

A highlight of the District-Wide Art Show is the annual senior show. These works from the Class of 2025 are as unique as the artists who created them!
Some will pursue careers in the field, and others will go on to different paths, but they will have one thing in common: The careful attention to detail, problem solving skills, and creative expression that students discover through the arts will empower them no matter where life takes them!

Today is senior day for varsity baseball! The Blue Devils will host a doubleheader against Utica Notre Dame beginning at 4:30. Between games, the senior recognition ceremony for the program's class of 2025 will be held.
This is coming up on Wednesday!!! All are welcome to attend! There will also be our annual silent auction, with proceeds benefit the Art Scholarship Fund. We hope to see you there!

Five members of the Camden FFA Chapter had the privilege of attending the 2025 New York State FFA Convention from Wednesday, May 7th, to Friday, May 9th. This year’s event was held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. It was a very special occasion to be part of, as the New York State FFA Association celebrated its 100th convention.
Over three days, members Autumn Porter, Kayla Winn, Mary Hall, Patrick Eveleth, and Reese Bates attended workshops and participated in a variety of structured immersive experiences pertaining to the world of agriculture. They had the opportunity to build their personal networks by making friends from across the state, chatting with industry leaders, and learning more about prospective college opportunities.
General session was held each evening, where the students saw multiple keynote addresses including Commissioner of Agriculture and Markets Richard Ball, and Governor Kathy Hochul. They also heard the retiring addresses from the current slate of New York State officers, including treasurer Andrew Curtis Szalach, brother of CHS agriculture teacher and FFA advisor Erin Curtis.
The event also includes lots of awards. Camden High School sophomore Reese Bates received her own FFA Jacket as a “Jacket Award” recipient.
The students also had some opportunities unique to this convention alone, such as the groundbreaking ceremony for the brand new FFA building being constructed for the fair.
Advisors Erin Curtis and Karly Marshman were happy that the students got the opportunity to experience a state convention to its fullest extent.
“We are so lucky to have a wonderful group of students who fully immersed themselves into the opportunities available to them,” they said.
The next New York State FFA Convention will be held from May 14th to May 16th, 2026 in Buffalo.

The Camden High School Business Department is proud to announce Ellie Hite as our Business Department "Employee of the Month." Ellie is currently taking MVCC Business/Personal Law and MVCC Financial Accounting. She is also a current member of the Business and Marketing Honor Society and was a big part of our Apprentice Challenge charity bake sale.
Ellie displays many employability skills in our business classes including planning/organizing, teamwork, leadership, attention to detail and work ethic. Congratulations Ellie!
Who's ready for Saturday's performance? Come and see the CHS Drama Club present "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at 7 PM!
After learning about Picasso this week, students played a dice game in Miss Archibee's Studio in Art! Given a sheet of paper with facial features, students rolled a number that told them which style to add to their piece. They cut their results out of cardboard, painted with watercolor, and added finishing touches with oil pastel. Come see more work by the Studio in Art students on Wednesday, May 14th at the K-12 Art Show in the High School Auditorium Foyer from 6:00-8:00PM!
