Camp is back in session! Wednesday marked the third day of our summer enrichment program called “Camp Sum-More-Fun”.
Over 400 students in grades K-9 are taking part in this award-winning educational program for the 2023 season at Camden High School.
Our K-2 students, the “Happy Campers”, explore a wide variety of age-appropriate STEAM activities. Students in grades 3-8 are known as the “Explorers” group, and are enrolled into subject-based “cabins” where they can explore an area of their choice such as drones, culinary arts, agriculture, business, music, and theatre.
We have also added a ninth grade “leadership” group for the first time. A select group of students were chosen to offer peer mentorship and leadership education opportunities to the younger campers.
In our Wednesday session, we saw an incredible racing drone demonstration, craft activities with our “Tycoon Junior” business group, spirited competition from the “Ninja Warriors” group, and an AWESOME science presentation by “Professor K” at our closing ceremony (We’ll have video shortly!).
Stay tuned for plenty of content as CSMF continues!
CSMF is presented through a partnership with the Madison-Oneida BOCES LEAP summer enrichment programs!

A new student academic calendar has been posted! There is only one small change to note, and it was a slight adjustment to the 4th quarter elementary report card date. All other information remains the same. Check the link below, or get it on our website any time!

Thursday, 6/29 at Camden Elementary will be a great morning to get out and play with Connected Community Schools!

On Wednesday night, Camden Elementary School held its moving up ceremony for the fourth grade Class of 2023! Congratulations, Cougar Alumni!

Pull up a chair and have a listen to this wonderful performance by Mr. Rudka. Somewhere, we know Greg was singing along with a smile.

Our elementary-level students had a GREAT time dancing and playing along with Downbeat Percussion yesterday! You can see the full ensemble this Fall at Buffalo Bills games out in Orchard Park, NY.

The CES Student Council recently met its fundraising goals to support student events and celebrations, and students were rewarded for their support of the council with a very special event on Wednesday.
If the Council met its goals, Mr. Ferretti and Mrs. Mitchell agreed to be duct taped to the gymnasium wall, and were very good sports about it as students and staff took turns applying sticky strips of tape to hold their building leaders in place.
When the students and staff were finished, the step stools supporting our two participants were removed, and students were amazed to see their building administrators being held up on the wall using only the power of duct tape!
Stay tuned for more from this event, coming soon!

This morning, we had the honor of hosting Downbeat Percussion for a morning assembly with CES and MES students! Downbeat Percussion is an incredibly talented professional drumline that also happens to be the official game day drumline of the Buffalo Bills.
They played some tunes for the students while demonstrating many of the concepts students are already learning about in music class, such as rhythm and sound dynamics.
They invited students up onto the "stage" to perform with them, and then played several of the students' favorites for an on-field dance party!
We'll have more to share later on.
