
The chick week activity for the day is poultry anatomy and egg anatomy! Students learned poultry anatomy with "peeps" and got down and dirty with an egg dissection!





We had a Wednesday morning visitor in the office! Agriculture instructor Karly Marshman brought over Elena the African Leopard Tortoise! Elena has been in the ag room for a few months now. She is 14 years old, and typically, these quiet and friendly creatures often live over 50 years, and in some cases, closer to 100 years!

After school activities for Camden Schools are cancelled on Tuesday, March 19, due to poor weather in the Northern end of the District.

Today Agriculture students learned about various chicken breeds and created dating profiles for a chicken breed of their choice!




This week is CHICK WEEK in the agriculture classroom! That means students get to learn all about chickens with hands on experiences!



Students from the Agriculture elective learned about cheesemaking from Cornell Cooperative Extension's Dairy in the Classroom educator. They learned about the science in cheese and how to make it at home.

Camden FFA Members Take On Sub- State Leadership Development Events!








Middle school agriculture students spent this week learning about the history of agriculture. Students then made a social media "Agrigram" post to educate other students about inventions in agriculture!




Our Grade 6 concert was AMAZING! Bravo to all band, chorus and orchestra students and our incredible teachers! You can catch our final Music in Our Schools Month concert on Wednesday, 3/20, at 7:00pm at CMS!




It's National Pi Day! Mrs. Calabro's 8th grade math classes celebrated with several activities throughout the week and of course pie today. We would like to send a HUGE shout out to Tops in Camden for their generous donation of pies for the students.








This week FFA member Kayla Winn has been putting in the WORK to prepare for her upcoming FFA competition in People In Agriculture! Hard work pays off!


We are very pleased to announce that Camden Middle School has been selected as a New York State/National Essential Elements "School to Watch"!
To date, CMS is one of just 47 New York State schools that has received this honor!
