Friday is Tie-Dye Day!

After reading Island of the Blue Dolphins, Mrs. Malenowski's 4th grade Reading Group used SAM Labs coding pieces and Legos to create a Rontu trap that showed a red light when the dog wandered into its trap. They used a light sensor and RBG LED light (and even added barking sounds for style points!)

Thursday is Warm Colors vs Cool Colors. Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade wear warm colors (red, orange and yellow) and PreK, 1st and 3rd grade wear cool colors (blue, purple and green).

Our March edition of the "Look at Me, I'm Three!" program was all about Bears!
The group read "Bear Snores On" by Karma Wilson. They learned about hibernation and made "caves" out of paper bags. During the mindfulness portion of the program, our young learners went on a little "bear hunt". As always, the evening also included music from Laurie Berkner and Dr. Jean!
We're excited to see how they're growing as they get closer and closer to their Pre-K eligible year! Information on next month's meeting is coming soon!

Monday is pattern day, wear anything with a pattern on it!
