In art class with Miss Lis, 3rd graders from Miss Sochia’s class at McVille took their artwork outside to splatter paint! (And after the weeks of weather we've had, it's certainly wise to cash in on the sunshine while we can!)
Student took inspiration from artists like Jim Dine and Jackson Pollock to create these awesome projects. Great job, third graders!

The McConnellsville Joint 4th Grade Book Club and Student Council Food Drive to benefit the Camden Food Pantry ends TOMORROW. Can you please help them reach their goal of 200 items? Contact Shelley Malenowski (smalenowski@camdencsd.org), or send items in with your McConnellsville student or staff member!
By the way..... another in-demand item that pantries often look for? Canned fruit! That joins peanut butter and boxed cereal in the top three most-requested items!

The third most requested item from food pantries is canned fruit. Our last day of collecting food for the Camden Food Pantry is tomorrow. Won't you please help us?

Did you know that one of the most needed items at a food pantry is boxed cereal? Do you have an extra box you can donate to our Food Drive for the Camden Food Pantry? Our drive runs until Friday!

Another top requested item at food pantries is peanut butter. Our Food Drive for the Camden Food Pantry lasts until Friday, if you'd like to send in a jar with your student!

Last week in art class with Miss Lis, 3rd graders worked in art centers. Students switched between using how to draw books, white boards and learning how to create spiral art. 3rd graders had so much fun!

The McConnellsville food drive continues this week!

It's spring, and our "Look at Me, I'm Three!" participants are growing so fast! So it was only fitting that we had a flower-themed May meeting on Wednesday!
The group practiced some relaxing mindfulness, then read the silly story "Grow Flower Grow!" by Lisa Bruce. In the story, Fran tries to feed her flower spaghetti and pizza to make it grow!
Then, it was craft time! Attendees made a paper craft, and also planted flowers for themselves (sans spaghetti). As they keep growing, those flowers will grow with them!
Mark your calendars! June 4th will be our last "Look At Me, I'm Three!" for the school year before our friends head off to Pre-K in September!
