This week in their Art time with Miss Lis, Mr. Crawford's pre-k students made these abstract action drawings using markers, paper, and an old favorite - compact discs!

The Look at Me, I'm Three Program will have its next meeting on Wednesday, March 12th at Camden Elementary School!
This program is a collaborative effort between the Camden Central School District and Ready 4 Kindergarten. It is for students who will be Pre-K eligible for the 2025-26 school year.
To attend Look at Me I'm Three this year, a child must have had their third birthday on or before December 1st, 2024.
Monthly RSVPs are required to attend. Reach out to our Family School Navigator, Patti Ferretti (pferretti@camdencsd.org) to confirm your attendance.

On Friday, 2/28, McConnellsville Elementary students in grades K-4 held their CKH Character Assembly for February! This month's focus was kindness! Second graders led a reading of "Try a Little Kindness" by Henry Cole, and acted out skits of different scenarios where kindness is a choice to make.
A great group of students was recognized for how they show kindness at school, and we also recognized 80 students for perfect attendance in the last month!
Our elementary focus for March is Courage!

Happy Youth Art Month!

Miss Schaehfer's second grade class has been learning about how the rotation and revolution of the earth marks time, turns night into day, and changes the seasons!

This week in art class with Miss Lis, 4th graders from Miss Barber’s class finished their contrast perspective landscapes. Great job!

Youth Art Month is an annual observance each March to emphasize the value of art education for all children and to encourage support for quality school art programs.

When life gives you lemons..... Make lemonade! McConnellsville Elementary had its Valentine's Day Dance postponed due to a delay, so they made the occasion into a 100th Day dance instead!

From a delayed Valentine's Day Dance, to a fun themed activity with families, our friends in Pre-K have certainly felt the love this month!

We hear a lot about earning your stripes, but what about earning your spots? After the first 100 days, McConnellsville Elementary School earned theirs today! To celebrate the 101st day of school, many students have fittingly come in costume today as Dalmatians!
Props to McVille teacher Erica Wimberly for bringing this fun idea to school!

To celebrate the 100th day, Mrs. Hollis's class worked in pairs on a probability exercise! They were instructed to flip a coin 100 times and record their results.

To celebrate our school year reaching the proverbial "century mark", these McConnellsville fourth graders brought out only the finest in "Centenarian" fashion!
We hope you had a great hundredth day!

Happy 100th Day of School from the Camden Central School District!

Pre-K and Kindergarten Registrations are still being sought for the 2025-26 school year!

Good Morning Blue Devils Community,
As an added note, the Village and Town of Camden have declared a Snow Emergency until the storm lifts.
They are asking everyone not to park on any street or roadway and no unnecessary travel so that all plow trucks are able to clear the snow safely.
Thank you and stay safe!
