On Friday, January 30th, celebrating Respect was on the docket at McConnellsville's monthly character assembly! As always, each class recognized a handful of students who did an especially good job of exhibiting this important trait throughout the month. We were also thrilled to welcome our Pre-K students to this event for the first time!
The Bobcat community also took a moment to recognize the 100 students achieving perfect attendance for the month of January - and a challenge was issued by Mrs. Zangrilli for February! Throughout the month, she has set a goal for an average of 95 percent daily student attendance, or about 280 students in the building each day. We'll chime in with a few updates throughout the month!

Offered in partnership with Family School Navigation (Formerly Ready 4 Kindergarten), the “Let’s Play” program is a free monthly program for two-year-olds and their families. RSVPs are required each month. Spots are limited, and will be on a first-contact, first-serve basis. Early RSVPs are also more likely to get their preferred day to attend. The "Sing-Along" portion of our McVille Grade 3-4 concert had some top-notch percussion accompanists as Mrs. Zangrilli and Mr. Evangelist joined our students and audience in Jingle Bells! Next stop, Carnegie Hall?
After two school closures delayed them, our McConnellsville Elementary School concerts were certainly worth the wait! A special 'thank you' to our attending families for their patience and flexibility, our performers for staying ready and doing a fantastic job, and to our McConnellsville and CHS staff members that made everything work with re-schedules!
