McConnellsville Elementary School families: Save the date for the 2023 "Back to School Bash"! We look forward to another awesome event!

Friendly reminder! On Monday, July 17th, the Oneida County Car Seat program is coming to Camden! See the flyer below for more details!

Beginning this fall, all Camden Central School District pre-kindergarten classes will be moving to McConnellsville Elementary School. The District has chosen this course of action to help expand access to opportunities for our youngest learners.
If you have questions, comments, or concerns, District pre-k coordinator Craig Ferretti is your point of contact. He can be reached at 315-245-2616.
If you need to register your child for Fall 2023, call 315-245-4096.

Thursday, 6/29 at Camden Elementary will be a great morning to get out and play with Connected Community Schools!

On Tuesday, McConnellsville Elementary School held its moving up ceremony for its fourth grade Class of 2023!
Congratulations, Bobcat Alumni! We look forward to seeing the next chapter at CMS!
We hope to be able to pass along a few more pictures from this event soon.

Our elementary-level students had a GREAT time dancing and playing along with Downbeat Percussion yesterday! You can see the full ensemble this Fall at Buffalo Bills games out in Orchard Park, NY.

This morning, we had the honor of hosting Downbeat Percussion for a morning assembly with CES and MES students! Downbeat Percussion is an incredibly talented professional drumline that also happens to be the official game day drumline of the Buffalo Bills.
They played some tunes for the students while demonstrating many of the concepts students are already learning about in music class, such as rhythm and sound dynamics.
They invited students up onto the "stage" to perform with them, and then played several of the students' favorites for an on-field dance party!
We'll have more to share later on.

The Camden Central School District will once again offer its Summer Food Service Program for 2023. The program offers free breakfast and lunch for children 18 years and younger throughout the summer months.
The program will run Monday through Friday from July 3rd until August 18th. There will be no service for the July 4th holiday.
Meals can be secured during each day of operation at the following sites. If your child is participating in District-Operated Summer programming, meals will be provided as part of their program schedule.
Camden Elementary School
8:00 AM until 12:30 PM
Camden High School
8:00 AM until 12:30 PM
Menus for July will be posted very shortly at CamdenSchools.org.
Please note there may be changes to locations and/or times as the summer progresses. We will communicate those changes to you if and when they occur. In addition, if your child has a food allergy or other dietary restriction, we ask that you let the food service staff on-site know so that they may make arrangements for an appropriate meal that meets your child’s needs.
Please contact the CCSD Business Office if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

Step into summer with Connected Community Schools and this craft activity scheduled for Tuesday morning!

An upcoming schedule of Summer Programming for Connected Community Schools is now available! More details will be coming through ParentSquare as they become available, and we'll also share that info on many of the events here as it comes in.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Migliori's Pre-K class was in the spotlight as we celebrated some future kindergartners, and members of the (eventual) CHS Class of 2036! We look forward to watching these young learners grow up before our eyes in the years ahead!

On Wednesday, it was time for Mrs. Zoldi's Pre-K students to celebrate their own graduation! Congratulations!

We still have openings for our two-week Elementary Summer Programs, which will be held at Camden Elementary this summer! Contact McVille principal Heidi Allen for more details!
These programs were held at McConnellsville last year, but will be at CES this year. We apologize for any confusion from an earlier post.

To honor Flag Day, students collaborated to create their own American flag. Each student colored a different tile of the grid and then worked as a team to assemble it. 🇺🇸

Students in Mrs. Malenowski's reading group brought Ancient Greek Mythology to life today with "makerspace" projects and Dash robots!

Students at McConnellsville Elementary participated in Camden's Third Grade Track and Field day! They enjoyed competing against their friends at Camden Elementary. Way to go!

The McConnellsville concert originally scheduled for 7pm at CHS on Thursday, June 8th, will now occur at 6pm on Friday, June 9th at CHS.

Look at all these happy faces! Thank you to the Virginia Tuthill Grant for allowing every student to pick out FREE books from the Book Fair this week!

Congratulations to MES Kindergarten student Leland Chalifoux who marched in the Oneida Memorial Day Parade last week with the Camden Fife and Drum Corps! AMAZING !

Mrs. Stauring’s class created some beautiful Kandinsky inspired paintings today in art class! We listened to instrumental music and painted the lines, shapes and colors we imagined in our heads when listening to it. Great job!
