Goats, and Snakes, and Other Creatures? Oh My!
While it may not have the same ring to it as a line from a classic film, it does describe the experience of our McConnellsville kindergartners! They took a trip to the Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo to get an in-depth look at some of their favorite animals!

Congratulations to all participants!
Winners from this year's art show will have their artwork displayed at Full Moon Reflections Art Gallery in Camden.

Brain Gain Institute and Kindergarten Bootcamp Registration is now open for Summer 2023! Have your in-district elementary learner be part of the fun at McConnellsville! Contact Heidi Allen for more information!

Nine students in the 4th Grade Book Club at McConnellsville Elementary helped raise 465 non-perishable food and toiletry items for Camden Food Pantry. They read a book this spring by Katherine Applegate called Crenshaw, about a boy and his family who struggles with food insecurity and homelessness, and decided to help people in their own community facing the same problems. With the guidance of their school librarian, Shelley Malenowski, they hung posters and made announcements urging fellow students and staff to bring in items to donate for Feeding Camden: Project Crenshaw. On Tuesday, May 9th, students enthusiastically helped load the donations into a van sent by Camden Food Pantry, where they will be inventoried and distributed to families who need help.

This week in art class, Mrs. Brazie's class finished their zentangle animals artwork. Check some out on display now in the hallway. Great job, 4th graders!

The polls are now open!

The 3rd grade Book Club just finished reading the book Wishtree by Katherine Applegate. They invited every person in the school to make a wish on a colored heart, and they finished hanging them on the tree outside the library today. We loved reading the wishes!

The Camden Central School District encourages all District residents aged 18 or older to participate in our 2023 school budget vote and Board of Education elections. The polls will be open on Tuesday, May 16th from noon to 9 p.m. in the Camden High School Auditorium Lobby. You may enter to vote through the front or back of the building in that area.
Voters will cast ballots to determine whether or not to approve the 2023-24 proposed budget for the Camden Central School District. Four available seats on the Board of Education will also be decided, with six candidates listed on the ballot. Consistent with the number of available seats, you may select a maximum of four candidates on your ballot.
All voters should be prepared to show proof of residency. You must be a resident of the district for at least 30 days prior to the vote, and you must not be prohibited from voting per Section 5-106 of the Election Law.
