Our 8th graders have certainly been busy this week! Over the past two days our 8th grade students had the opportunity to visit Madison Oneida BOCES to learn about the various programs that are offered to Juniors and Seniors. Students had a chance to tour the building and see some students in action...we might have seen a Camden senior learning how to safely climb a tree in the Conservation program. What a great opportunity this trip was to kick off our upcoming classroom lessons on career exploration!

Agriculture Elective (A Day) students made their mac & cheese for the NYS Agriculture in the Classroom Mac & Cheese Challenge. All taste testers agreed that it was delicious and worthy of entering the contest!

High school animal science students worked hard today on their animal welfare projects and earned Oaklyn time!

The 6th graders had their Monthly Student Meeting today. At the meeting, birthdays and positive office referrals were celebrated. Students heard about upcoming Student Council opportunities, reviewed lockdown procedures, and were able to voice suggestions they had to improve the school. Each team's student leaders helped to facilitate discussion. These meetings are a welcome addition this year at CMS!
