
Due to today's snow day, the "Sprinkles and Sparkles" Cookie Decorating event at CMS is once again postponed. It is now rescheduled for Tuesday, 12/20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School cafeteria. The agriculture elective educated not only 7th and 8th grade students today but also 5ths grade Winning CMS students! Students learned where Christmas trees come from and how byproducts are used!


5th grade students in Mrs. Walsh's science classes have completed a Project Based Learning Unit and will be growing and planting a pollinator garden at CMS this year! Today, they presented to the other 5th grade science classes asking for their help with the planting this spring. The students learned a lot of useful information and we can't wait to see the garden that the plant out front of the school!

This Week's Featured Book Friday is The Enola Holmes Mysteries series. The first two books have been made into popular Netflix movies featuring Millie Bobby Brown. We have the entire series in our Camden Middle School Media Center.


Not only do the donated flowers get used for arrangements but also for special projects. The students learned to make sugar scrubs with real rose petals today! Not only was the agriculture room smelling amazing, the students were glowing with joy!





The Camden Central School District has canceled all after school activities today, Thursday, December 15, 2022.

It's Tuesday, that can only mean one thing -- puppies! The puppies from Lewis Manor Labradoodles come visit each grade level on a rotating basis. Today it was 5th grade's turn.


Creativity and learning go hand in hand when working with flowers. Thanks to LaRobardiere Funeral Home in Camden NY agriculture students are able to learn to make a variety of florals arrangements. The students look forward to making arrangements and learning new skills to apply!


Celebrate the Holidays with CMS! Spirit Week starts FRIDAY!


What is red, round, and is being grown in the agriculture classroom? STRAWBERRIES! The agriculture electives and the Agriculture Club are working on growing fresh strawberries in the Tower Gardens! In June we should have beautiful red berries!



The agriculture room is popping with life at the moment! The Tower Gardens are currently producing a jungle of peas, cucumbers, and green beans. In one photo you can see the new green beans coming to life! Very soon the agriculture electives will be ready to harvest the crops!



Nothing fishy here! Students in the agriculture classroom are learning how regulations impact resource availability in agriculture. The fishing game is not only fun but incorporates Math and English as well! Let the fishing begin!



Join us for Winterfest at CMS on Tuesday 12/13. We will have free pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, cookie decorating, a movie, and crafts! This event is open to all community members!

Have you “HERB” how agriculture has made it to the 5th grade students? In one of the display cases in the 5th grade wing of CMS three herbs being grown! One lucky student will be able to take care of and harvest the spices. Not only is the agriculture program growing quickly but so are the herbs!



Last year for One School One Book we read The Wild Robot. If you didn't get to read this adventurous book, it's available in our Media Center. We also have it's sequel, The Wild Robot Escapes. Come check out these fun books!


How interested are students in the agriculture program? Students are extremely excited about being involved in the new CMS agriculture program! Some students are so excited that they decide to do a “Special Project!” This student is working on a special project regarding dairy cattle. “MOO-RE” is to come!


Character Counts at CMS. December is Kindness month and students created a kindness wall full of positive messages for people to take.


CMS Student Council was busy today! Members collected the items from 1st period classes and also set up a Christmas tree in the foyer. The food drive is being held through December 16th.
