It's officially show week for the CMS Drama Club!
Children's Book Week 2025 is this week (May 5-11) and thanks to Dr. Baker, wr have a poster to mark the occasion in our CMS Media Center. The slogan this year is "An Ocean of Stories"
Children's Book Week started in 1919 and it's the longest-running national literacy campaign in the US. You can celebrate by reading with your child or engaging in a discussion about what you or your child are currently reading. 💕📚
Next Friday, May 16, the CMS Drama Club will perform Rotten Apples at 7 PM in thr auditorium. In honor of their performance, the Library has created a display of "twisted fairytales" for our students and staff to check out. 🍎📚🎭🧚🏻

The Camden Middle School Drama Club is preparing its 2025 Spring Production, "Rotten Apples" by Tracy Wells! A parade of familiar fairy tale characters features in this mystery/comedy that is sure to have you laughing - and thinking about what happens next! The show will be held on Friday, May 16th at 7 PM in the Camden Middle School Auditorium - ONE NIGHT ONLY, don't miss it!

When a civics lesson and an upcoming holiday come together, it's a good time for an activity.
Mrs. Brazie's fifth grade social studies classes have been learning about branches of government and their responsibilities. To add a seasonal flair to the proceedings, she put some multiple choice questions inside of plastic easter eggs and scattered them around the room to engage students in a "Branches of Government Easter Egg Hunt!"
One Final Reminder: Today (Thursday, 4/17) is the annual go-home-early drill. All students are being dismissed 15 minutes earlier than normal. If your student is participating in sports/extracurriculars on campus, they should follow any directions they are given at the building before continuing to their activity.
In addition, there is no school on Friday, 4/18, in observance of Good Friday. The Spring Recess spans from Monday, April 21st to Friday, April 25th. We will see you back at school on Monday, April 28th!

The "Hatching Minds" cart is on the MOVE! Mrs. Lapier used the cart to educate her class on a chickens life cycle. Students saw an inside look of an egg and even had the opportunity to "hatch" their own peeps!
April is National Poetry Month. Our Media Center celebrated by making book stack poems. This poem was created by Mrs. Britton. It is in anticipation of the upcoming Spring Break.
