Camden middle school FFA members spent time presenting to the winning CMS classes last Thursday and Friday! FFA members worked with Ms.Marshman to develop educational presentation on topics they enjoyed that related to agriculture!
Last week was an "egg-citing" time in the agriculture room! Chick week was full of hands on learning opportunities from learning about egg development as well as proper handling of live chicks! This week the "Hatching Minds" cart will be traveling the building with live chicks for hands on lessons regarding chickens!

Our last book order of the year has arrived and these graphic novels were in it. Graphic Novels are probably our most popular genre. I'm sure the students will be eager to check out these books. 📚
Our last order of the year included these novels in verse. Many students love stories told in this form. These books often engage even our most reluctant readers.

Camden Middle School Science Olympiad makes its first appearance at the state level this weekend, with a limited number of events set for Friday, and a full schedule on Saturday at East Syracuse-Minoa High School!
The Middle and High School Odyssey of the Mind teams will be on the other side of town at the New York State Fairgrounds for the 2025 New York State Odyssey of the Mind Association Championships on Saturday. If you're attending, check the schedule linked below for more information. Camden's entries will perform their long-term problem portion in the Horticulture building, while their short-term (spontaneous) problem will be at Solvay High School.

Fun, and maybe a little dangerous! Many of our students love talking about extreme sports such as skateboarding, parkour, and motocross. These books just came in and they can read about them now. 🛹

The students in Mrs. Currie and Mrs. Poore's ELA classes have been reading and analyzing poems. We organized an Elite Eight bracket in honor of March Madness! Students were able to vote daily to determine an overall favorite! Emily Dickinson's "Hope is a Thing with Feathers" was awarded the top spot and received a blue ribbon! Thank you Baloo Team members for your participation! Happy National Poetry Month!

Agriculture students spent today training the new therapy dog on confidence. Students had the option to lead the dog through the obstacle course using positive body language and speaking with confidence! Therapy dog Thursday is always a hit in the agriculture room!
