The Camden Central School District is seeking a reliable and experienced individual to fill a Senior Custodian position. This is a full-time, 12-month position responsible for supervising custodial operations and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained school environment.
Position Details
- Title: Senior Custodian
- Location: Camden Middle School
- Start Date: July 1, 2026
- Salary: $46,545
- Work Schedule: 7 am - 3:30 pm
- Reports to: Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds and Building Principal

Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise and assign work to custodial staff
- Perform routine and detailed cleaning of school facilities
- Oversee minor maintenance and repairs
- Monitor building systems (heating, ventilation, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
- Prepare facilities for school and community events
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Maintain a positive work environment and attention to detail
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet civil service requirements, typically including:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in building cleaning and/or mild building maintenance activities
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Valid New York State driver’s license
