There is an ongoing need throughout public education for qualified substitute teachers, and we are always seeking quality applicants who want to help our students make the most out of each day in the classroom.
You must have a minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited college or university to have your application considered for a substitute teacher position.
Applicant must complete the CCSD Instructional Application, and submit three (3) letters of reference (no family members).
Applicant must be also fingerprinted through the New York State Education Department.
When the above are submitted to the human resources office, you will be contacted to set up an interview with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. Once interviewed and approved, the candidate's name is presented to the Board of Education for final approval. Once that is completed, the applicant's name goes on the daily "to call" list.
Additional payment incentives are offered above the non-certified base rate for certified teachers, and teachers who have retired from their regular duties with the Camden Central School District.
Pay Rates:
$122 per day for uncertified, $132 per day for certified, and $142 per day for CCSD retired teachers.
