Barker Chosen to All-State Softball Team

Sophia Barker has already received quite a mass of accomplishments for her 2026 softball season. The fleet-footed outfielder was named a Section III All-Star, and a Tri-Valley League All-Star for her work in leading Camden to the Section III Semifinals for a fifth straight year.

Add “All-State” to the list. On Thursday, June 25th, Barker was officially named to the fifth All-State team in Class A by the New York State Sportswriters’ Association. 

As Camden posted an 11-10 overall record against a tough schedule, Barker shined day-in and day-out for the Blue Devils. 

The speedy outfielder batted in the neighborhood of the .500 mark this season with nine extra base hits. That included five triples to rank among the Section III leaders in that category, and one home run. She stole 22 bases, scored a career-best 37 runs, and batted in another 18 runs.
