Beverly Hillbillies is ranked among the top 20 most-watched television series during the 1960’s. You don't want to miss Camden’s rendition of this TV favorite. Follow the Clampett family from their oil-rich swamp to the richest city in the west, Beverly Hills, California. Y'all come on down yonder to watch Camden High School's final play of the school year, The Beverly Hillbillies. This family-friendly show will have you hankering for more! Admission is free and snacks will be sold for all youngins alike. Discover your inner hillbilly at Camden High school on April 28th at 7pm and April 29th at 6 pm. Who knows, you might be the next “millyon-aire”!

The play starts with George Turner (Garet Rocker) and Brewster (Jacob LeBreaux) proposing to Jed Clampett (Gianni Liberatore) to give up their spacious mountain range and become a “millyon-are” in Beverly Hills, California. One of the oldest Clampetts, Granny played by Paige Allen, is appalled by this idea but goes along anyway. Ellie May (Hailey Hicks), Jethro (Owen Carr), and Cousin Pearl (Sydney Matthews) make up the rest of the Clampett family. Along the way y’all will be introduced to Mr. and Mrs. Drysdale (Dylan Keyes and Annaka Stauring), the banker and his wife, Percy (Trevor Young), Miss. Hathaway (Emma Watson), Mrs. Pennyweather (Hannah Smith), Gloria Mundy (Isabella Wing), Emaline Fetty (Marley Hilliker), Fredrika Collins (Ryan Brown), Colonel Foxhall (Chad Teft), Mrs. Stokley-Smythe (Evelyn Hotaling), Mr Oglethorpe (Tyler McCleod), Mrs Oglethorpe (Natalie Hotaling),  Groovy Monohan (Calli Evans) and Frank Richards (Gage Grinnell).

In Beverly Hills, you will also be greeted by the most classy party guests; Conner Tefft, Emily Vanderworken, Autumn Porter, Addison Clements, Brayden Kirk, Willow Kratz, Cal Seckner, Garet Rocker, Jacob Lebreux, Hannah Smith, Sydney Matthews, EleanoreAnne Kratz, Xenia Kirby, Astro Johnson, and Samantha Macmurray. Without the help of our firemen (Tyler McLeod, Brayden Kirk, Conner Tefft, Willow Kratz, and Cal Seckner) Jethro would have already “set the whole world on fire!”

None of this would be possible without Director Stephanie Heath and Assistant Director and Choreographer Amanda Hughes. Serving as right hands to the director are the Student Directors, Sydney Matthews and Trevor Young. The stage crew makes sure everything backstage is in top-tip shape and is led by stage crew manager Annaka Stauring. The stage crew consists of Sophia Sietz, Bella Keller, Addison Clements, David Smith, Urion Conely, Abigail Miller, Dalton Smith, Michael Flagg, Cal Seckner, and Austin Simmons. Giving the stage all the razzle dazzle are the lights and sound crew Alexia Nichols, Mady Redden, and Jozette Thorn, led by Gianni Liberatore. Without the costume crew, the actors would all look like chickens with no feathers, thankfully there are Bella Keller, Ella Winters, Natalie Hotaling, Emily Vanderworken, Gage Grinnell, Addison Clements, EleanorAnne Kratz, Hannah Smith, Calli Evans, Trevor Young, Emma Watson, Autumn Porter, and Alyssa Vera working to make sure everyone looks their best.

The set construction crew responsible for building a set that goes from the oil rich hills of the Ozarks to the fancy mansions of Beverly Hills; Nathan Heath, Joe Carr, Steve Keller, and Matt Squairs. Parent helper Casey Seckner has been invaluable to this production. Mrs. Health and Mrs. Hughes put endless hours into every production and it shows. Camden Drama Club productions do not disappoint so make sure to mark your calendars, show times are April 28th at 7pm and April 29th at 6 pm. See y’all there!
