Mr. Jason Evangelist was appointed as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction beginning July 1, 2021.  Mr. Evangelist began his career in education as an Elementary School Teacher in the Whitesboro School District. He later served as Assistant Principal for Grades 5-12 in the Westmoreland Central School District, and Principal at Nicholas A. Walbran Elementary School in Oriskany. Following these building level experiences, he became the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching, Learning, and Accountability for PK-4 in the Rome City School District. Most recently, he has served as Superintendent of Schools for the Holland Patent School District.

Mr. Evangelist has worked extensively with Curriculum and Instruction across all grade levels, and has a very strong background and familiarity with this work across Grades PK-4. He is passionate about curriculum and instruction and has a wealth of experience working and supporting faculty members in support of student learning. His experience as a District Office Leader further strengthens and completes our Leadership Team. Jason is very excited to make this transition to Camden and is most proud of his family making him not only a wonderful educator but also a great father and husband. They fully support his move and feel that this transition is what is best for him and the family at this time.
