CAMDEN, NY - On Tuesday, June 3rd, nine members of the Camden High School Class of 2025 put pen to paper on their decision to compete in collegiate athletics during the District’s spring signing day ceremony.
In front of a gymnasium brimming with proud family members, friends, coaches, and other well-wishers, student-athletes celebrated their achievements while also marking the start of their future competitive endeavors. The participants signed with a total of eight different institutions, and committed to compete in eight different sports across the NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NJCAA levels.
To compete beyond high school is a privilege that is earned, and one that each athlete will need to continually earn as they move forward. Athletic Director Josh Mazzaferro feels that it’s important to cherish this milestone as this group charts its course for what's next.
“This moment is the result of countless hours of practice, the sacrifices they’ve made, and the challenges they’ve overcome,” he said. “These athletes have represented Camden with pride, passion, and sportsmanship, and their achievements are a reflection of their character, work ethic, and commitment to excellence. We know they will continue to make us proud at the collegiate level."
