A-Pass Assembly

On Monday, June 23rd, Camden Middle School celebrated sustained academic excellence by 136 students with its 2025 A-Pass Assembly in the Camden Middle School Auditorium.

The A-Pass Assembly recognizes students in grades 5, 6, and 7 that have secured high honor roll status for the first three marking periods of the current school year. Additional distinctions are bestowed upon students achieving the feat across multiple years.

Principal Brittany DerCola reinforced the magnitude of this award to a warm gathering of award recipients, families, and staff at Monday’s assembly.

“Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have truly paid off, and you should be so proud of yourselves,” she said. “Each of you has shown what it means to strive for excellence, and your commitment to your studies continues to inspire all of us.”

The program began with the fifth grade recipients - 46 in all. That represents 35% of the class. Making the achievement particularly notable at the fifth grade level is that it signifies a successful transition to meeting the expectations and routines of middle school. The sixth grade group featured 47 students, 30 of whom were receiving a two year A-Pass award for excellence across fifth and sixth grade.

Finally, the seventh grade students took the stage, with 43 students honored. 31 of those students were recognized with the three-year A-Pass award for earning it all three years they’ve been in middle school. Additionally, six seventh grade students received the two-year A-Pass award.
