CAMDEN, NY - Fresh off a second straight Section III title, the Camden High School varsity softball team has naturally earned its fair share of awards for the 2025 season. Between the Tri-Valley League All-Star Teams, All-CNY Teams, and NYSSWA All-State Teams, the Blue Devils had six different players earn postseason honors recently.
Impressively, four of Camden’s six recipients just wrapped up their freshman or sophomore campaigns.
Senior infielder Camryn Shenk headlines the group as the 2025 Tri-Valley League Player of the Year, a first team All-CNY selection, and a fourth team All-State pick. She saved her best campaign for last before heading off to Division I Le Moyne in the fall. Shenk batted over .500 for her senior season and ranked fourth in batting average in Section III Class A. She led the classification in home runs (six), runs scored (48), hits (38), and extra base hits (21). Shenk also excelled at forcing defenses to make plays, with just five strikeouts all year. She is a TVL All-Star three years in a row.
Freshman pitcher Abigail Hebble was a first team All-CNY choice and a first team Tri-Valley League All-Star. The rookie brought stability beyond her years to the pitching circle as Camden’s third different primary starter in three years. In 120 innings pitched, she logged a 2.80 ERA and 83 strikeouts. She was fourth in Section III Class A in ERA, and sixth in strikeouts. She was just as formidable at the plate with a .456 batting average, two home runs, 22 runs batted in, and 23 runs scored. Her 31 hits ranked third in the section across Class A squads. The three-sport star was recently chosen as the Camden CSD Female Athlete of the Year.
Senior infielder Kendall Musch was a second team All-CNY pick and a first team Tri-Valley League All-Star. Musch batted .418 for the year with eight doubles and a triple. She drove in 20 runs and scored 22 of them. She was ninth in Section III Class A with nine extra base hits. As with Shenk, Musch kept the ball in play and was difficult to strike out, as she was rung up just five times in 2025. She will continue her career at Division I St. Bonaventure in the year ahead. She is a three-time Tri-Valley League All Star.
Outfielder Sophia Barker was the picture of consistency for the Blue Devils in her freshman season en route to first team honors in the Tri-Valley League. She racked up a .439 batting average and was held without a hit just three times. That’s not to say that she wasn’t also a walking highlight reel this early in her career. She ranked tied for second in Section III Class A with four home runs, trailing only Shenk in that category. Among her Class A peers, she was second with 23 stolen bases, tied for sixth with 29 hits, ranked second in runs scored with 35, and sixth in the section with 24 runs batted in.
Infielder Aubree Turk was also a vibrant part of a re-tooled championship roster, and the rookie made quite a splash in her first year on the varsity to earn Tri-Valley League first team honors. She batted .441 to rank 18th among Section III Class A hitters this year. She knocked 26 hits, scored 25 runs, drove in 13 runs, and had six extra base hits to put herself firmly in the mix on the Section III leaderboards.
Sophomore Ari Killino earned first team TVL All-Star honors at the catcher position in 2025. Helping her get to that destination was her run-producing prowess. She ranked third in Section III Class A with 22 stolen bases, and converted that into 34 runs scored, which also ranked third in the classification. She was tied for eighth in the section with 28 hits, and logged eleven runs batted in during the season.
