The Camden Central School District is pleased to announce that Camden High School sophomores Abby Hebble and Rylie Meagher have been selected for All-State honors in the sport of field hockey for the 2025 season.
To be selected for All-State honors, a player must be voted one of the top 15 players in Section III as voted on by coaches on their year-end rating form. As part of that process, both players were selected as Section III All-Stars as well for ranking in the top 30. They were two of six players from the Tri-Valley League to get the state level nod.
Hebble and Meagher are the program’s only sophomore class duo to receive All-State honors together in the same season in the 25 year coaching career of head coach Shannon McPheron. The duo guided Camden to a 12-6 overall record and a spot in the Section III championship game.
In her third varsity season, Hebble was a vital two-way player out of the Camden backfield. She led a defensive unit that allowed just 1.5 goals per contest to rank among the region’s best. She also played at the top of Camden’s penalty corner battery and took advantage of the prime scoring territory by mashing seven goals into the back of the cage.
Meagher tied teammate Adriana Omundsen for the team’s points lead, with 21 points in her third varsity season. She had six goals and nine assists, and scored perhaps the team’s biggest goal of the year with an overtime winner against Whitesboro to send the Blue Devils back to the Section III Championship Game after a one-year absence.
Both players have demonstrated prowess across multiple sports. Hebble was one of the top softball pitchers in the state during the 2025 season, and both have represented Camden at the state level in the sport of wrestling.
