On Saturday, December 6th, the Camden High School Science Olympiad team added a pre-regional competition to its schedule as it took part in the Fayetteville-Manlius Invitational. The Blue Devils joined a field of 24 teams from across the state for a day of competition, learning, and preparation for regional and state competitions later in the academic year.
Camden competitors turned in nine top ten finishes over the course of the day while testing their skills against some of the state’s top teams. Along the way, they learned valuable lessons about event content and execution that they can use later on in the year. The team earned medals in the following events:
5th place in Boomilever
4th place in Bungee Drop
10th place in Dynamic Planet
6th place in Electric Vehicle
9th place in Forensics
7th place in Helicopter
5th place in Material Science
5th place in Remote Sensing
8th place in Robot Tour
