Since 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the longest-running art recognition program for teenagers in the nation. The awards recognize the vision, ingenuity, and talent of our nation’s youth, and provide opportunities for creative teens to be celebrated. Through the Awards, students receive opportunities for exhibition, publication, and scholarships. Students across America submitted more than 330,000 original works last year in 29 different categories of art and writing.

This year, at the regional level, there were thousands of entries from more than 90 Central New York area school districts.

Alexis and Alexandra will have their work showcased at the Central New York Scholastic Art Show, held from January 20 to February 27, 2026, at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse.
