The Camden Central School District has conducted the vote on its 2026-27 proposed budget and Board of Education Elections, along with one additional proposition. The following are the results of the election.


Proposition No. 1: To vote upon the Budget for the 2026-2027 school year.

"Shall the Board of Education of the Camden Central School District be authorized to appropriate and expend an amount not to exceed $59,838,634 for general purposes for the school year 2026-2027, and to levy a tax on the taxable real property of the school district as provided by law?"

YES: 328
NO: 130

Result: The proposition has been adopted.


Proposition No. 2: The Acquisition of Gas Buses and Student Transport Vehicles

“Shall the Board of Education of the Camden Central School District be authorized to purchase and finance four (4) 65-passenger gasoline buses and two (2) 8-passenger minivans, including necessary furnishings, fixtures and equipment and all other costs incidental thereto, and expend a total sum not to exceed $770,000, which is estimated to be the total maximum cost thereof, and said amount, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be raised by the levy of a tax upon the taxable property of said School District and collected in annual installments as provided by Section 416 of the Education Law; and, in anticipation of such tax, obligations of said School District, in the principal amount not to exceed $770,000, be issued?

Board of Education Election

In the matter of electing Board Members to fill three at-large vacancies on the Board of Education for three-year terms, the voting was as follows:

Scott Collins: 319
Misty Portner: 365
Ashley Hurd: 338

Result: Scott Collins, Misty Portner, and Ashley Hurd have been elected to three-year terms on the Board of Education, to begin in July 2026.
