Gianna D'Amico Receives Her Cords

VERONA, NY - 22 students from Camden High School recently received the honor of being inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. The Madison-Oneida BOCES chapter made that honor official with an induction ceremony held on Thursday, March 30th in the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School Auditorium.

The Camden students were part of a historic induction class that featured a record 129 honorees from nineteen Career and Technical Education programs and eleven school districts.

NTHS is an honor society recognizing exceptional student achievement in career and technical education. To be eligible for membership, students must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average in their CTE program and their high school and demonstrate excellence in extracurricular activities, character and community service. NTHS membership is a distinction achieved by less than 5 percent of CTE students nationwide.

New members receive an official NTHS membership certificate, the NTHS pin, a graduation tassel, graduation honor cords and a window decal. An official NTHS seal will be applied to each member’s high school diploma upon graduating. The inductees will have the privilege of wearing their graduation cords at their CTE completion ceremony, and at their high school graduation.
