Summer Food Service Program from 7/7 to 8/22 Monday to Friday 8:30 to Noon at Camden Elementary School Free for any child 18 and uncer.

The Camden Central School District will once again participate in the Summer Food Service Program for 2025. The Summer Food Service Program operates under the supervision of the US Department of Agriculture. It allows anyone 18 years of age and under to receive a free breakfast and lunch daily during the period the program operates.

The program will operate at Camden Elementary School from Monday, July 7th to Friday, August 22nd. It will run on a Monday to Friday schedule, with food pick-up available at any point from 8:30 AM to noon daily.

There are no eligibility requirements other than a child’s age. The child does not need to be enrolled in the district, nor are there any income requirements. This year, the District has received approval to operate Camden Elementary School as a “Non-Congregate Feeding Site”, which means that meals will be offered exclusively in a Grab-and-Go format. Each participating child will receive a single bag containing one cold breakfast and one cold lunch daily. You will not be allowed to receive multiple days’ worth of meals in a single day.

Anyone 18 or under can pick up a daily breakfast and lunch at any point during the distribution time at Camden Elementary School. Parents/guardians may also pick up meals for their children by providing their names.

Because of the grab-and-go format, we are also able to offer meals to youth programs happening in our community including the Village of Camden Summer Recreation Program, Vacation Bible Schools, and any other community programs. These programs will be able to send a representative with a list of eligible children and take the corresponding number of meals back to their program sites.

If your child is enrolled in the District’s Credit Recovery or 12-Month Special Education programs at Camden High School, they will continue to receive meals on-site during their programs at CHS. The High School is not an open pickup site.

Please contact the CCSD Business Office if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
