History, Language Arts, and Theater came together to create something awesome for Mrs. Skinner and Mrs. Sessler's third grade students at Camden Elementary! They've been busy learning about Ancient Rome. On Tuesday, they showed what they've learned with a special "Reader's Theatre" performance of Androcles and the Lion!

The Camden Girls' Varsity Volleyball team is back in the postseason and would love your support! Join the third-seeded Blue Devils as they play host to sixth-seeded Whitesboro for a Section III Class A Winter Volleyball Quarterfinal on Thursday, February 8th in the CHS Gymnasium.

Congratulations to Camden boys' varsity wrestlers Mason Butler, Bradyn Hatzinger, Talon Kimball, and Kolton Kelley on achieving runner-up status at this weekend's Section III Class B Championship meet held at Homer. The Section III Division II Championship meet is coming up this weekend, and along with it is another chance to go for the gold! Good luck, gentlemen!

Introducing the CHS Spring Play.... "Almost, Maine" by John Cariani! The CHS Drama Club will bring two performances to the stage on May 10th and 11th, and admission will be free.
Synopsis: Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
Auditions will be held in March after the musical wraps up, with rehearsals commencing shortly after. If your CHS student has questions about the production, they can contact Stephanie Heath to learn more.

Everyone, say hello to our new friend Elena! Elena is a 14 year old African Leopard Tortoise. Elena will be used as a learning opportunity and fun new friend! She is already loving the Agriculture Programs fresh lettuce!

Our sixth grade students recently got a highly-anticipated visit from their therapy dog friends from Lewis Manor Labradoodles, while Mr. Evangelist couldn't pass up the opportunity to say hello to Miss Marshman's therapy dog, Oaklynn, during a recent visit to the District Office.
Dr. Baker's reading students wrapped up the second marking period by sharing their reading progress with each other! A lot of students met or exceeded the reading goals they set before Thanksgiving break!
Every year, students from Camden High School submit a select number of artworks to the CNY Scholastic Art Competition.
Since 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have recognized the vision, ingenuity, and talent of our nation’s youth, and provided opportunities for creative teens to be celebrated. Through the Awards, students receive opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships. Students across America submitted more than 330,000 original works last year in 29 different categories of art and writing.
This year, at the regional level, there were thousands of entries from more than 90 Central New York area school districts. Three students from Camden have received awards in this very prestigious competition.
Dolmae Honrales received 1 GOLD KEY for her self portrait drawing titled “Euphoria” and one Silver Key for her watercolor painting titled “Serendipity”.
Kaylynn Witzigman received 1 Silver Key for her watercolor painting titled “Aurora”
Matt Melancon received 1 HONORABLE MENTION for his self-portrait drawing.
This winning artwork will be displayed with the other regional winners at OCC through the month of February. Congratulations to Dolame, KayLynn, Matt and to all of the students who submitted work for the show.
