As part of its ongoing plans to create and enhance opportunities for its youngest learners, the Camden Central School District is continuing its District-Wide Early Childhood Census in the 2024-25 school year. This census is used to assist us in planning early childhood programming in the future, including pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, “Look at Me, I’m Three!” and the “Let’s Play” two-year-old program. If you have a child from birth to age 5 in your household, and have not filled out this form for them already in the past two academic years, please consider doing so. This is optional, but certainly encouraged. More Info: https://www.camdenschools.org/article/1860369

The "Let's Play" Two Year Old Program will hold its second meeting on Wednesday, November 20th. It will take place from 10 AM to 11 AM at Camden Elementary School. Offered in partnership with Ready 4 Kindergarten, the “Let’s Play” program is a new, free monthly program for two-year-olds and their families. It consists of a monthly one-hour block of play-based learning and socialization with parent/guardian involvement. It is offered with the aim of progressing into the “Look at Me, I’m Three!” program for the following year, and creating a two year skill development on-ramp into Pre-K programming. To be eligible for this program, a student must reside in the Camden Central School District, and be two years old, or reach that age on or before December 1st, 2024. Participation for this first meeting will be limited to 15 children, and will be on a first-contact, first-serve basis. RSVPs are required each month. To reserve your spot, or if you have questions, contact our Family School Navigator, Patti Ferretti, at 315-245-2616, extension 5200, or at pferretti@camdencsd.org.

The moment our protagonists cracked the case! The Scooby-Doo reference in this scene was outstanding, for what it's worth. It's amazing how quickly a week has flown by since opening night, but the good news is, you won't have to wait too long for more student theater! Come see the Camden Middle School Musical, Willy Wonka Jr., on Thursday, November 14th and Friday, November 15th!

It's been an exciting week in classrooms at Camden Middle School and Camden Elementary School as we get started on this year's "Trout in the Classroom" program! Mr. Paul Miller of the Fish Creek Atlantic Salmon Club and the Tug Hill Chapter of Trout Unlimited delivered over 800 fish eggs to the classrooms of Mr. Janes, Mrs. Platt, Mrs. Lapier, Ms. Beach, Mrs. Turner, and Dr. Goff. This wonderful program is sponsored by the two clubs, and teaches our students valuable lessons about local wildlife. The teachers would like to thank Mr. Miller and the clubs for continuing to support this important classroom program that connects to the science curriculums in 3rd, 6th, and 7th grades throughout the year!
