Homecoming Spirit Week is a busy one for home events across the Athletic Department! Come catch your Blue Devils in action all week long!
(Schedule subject to change)

Four home contests for the Blue Devils today! Come and join us in the fresh air on what is a simply BEAUTIFUL Friday afternoon!

The Syracuse Museum of Science and Technology (MoST) is sponsoring a series of STEM challenges throughout this school year, and Camden CSD students from grades 4-12 have been invited to participate. Registration is free, and materials are provided by the MoST for each challenge.
The museum is hosting a bridge building challenge on Saturday, November 9th from 9 AM to Noon on its campus in downtown Syracuse. Students will compete to build bridges that are as strong as possible, while also being as lightweight as possible.
There are two divisions: A junior division for Grades 4-8, and a senior division for Grades 9-12. Teams can be from 1 to 4 students.
Students would need to register online, and then make arrangements to get their materials from the museum. Opportunities to set up a support session with the MoST staff are available by appointment, and there is a walk-in session scheduled for tomorrow, 9/28, from 9:30 to 12:30 at the MoST.
More information about the contest is available here:

BLUE DEVIL NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT
In the coming weeks, we’ll introduce you to members of our Blue Devil family who are new, or are changing roles between buildings for the school year.
Today, we’ll tell you about new McConnellsville kindergarten teacher Patricia Pennise! Patricia joins us from the St. Patrick’s School in Oneida, where she taught multiple grade levels over a 10 year period. She is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam, and SUNY Cortland.
Her favorite thing about a career in education is the long-term growth she sees in her students, and she looks to accomplish that by creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for her kindergartners every day.
“I love seeing the growth in children between September and June,” she said. “Even though the days can be long and hard, seeing the children grow over the course of the school year is an amazing gift.”
She credits the Camden staff, along with a scenic commute, for making her transition to a new role a lot easier.
“Every single person I have met so far has been friendly and helpful. I have many years of teaching under my belt, but learning how Camden "works" is definitely a learning experience. I am very appreciative of the super helpful staff. I am also enjoying my commute so far; the leaves are so pretty!”
When she’s not at the front of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, photography, and scrapbooking. She has also become quite fond of indoor gardening. Welcome!

Hittin' the road for some Thursday night football tonight. The Blue Devils varsity heads to Carthage to battle the Comets. 6 PM start.

Camden Middle School Open House is set for Thursday evening. It can be a busy evening for families, so some dining options will be available for purchase on-site if you're interested! Local vendors Squeezers Lemonade, Savage Eats, and Oh Crepe and Waffles will be set up outside by the basketball courts, and operating from 4:30 until 7:30 PM.
Even if you don't have a child in middle school, feel free to stop by and support the vendors, many of whom offer items you may not see every day without a long drive!
