Welcome to the first day of school for the 2024-25 school year! We're excited to see everyone very shortly!

It's always a great day to be a CES Cougar..... Especially on the first day!

The CMS team was excited to get going!

We're off to a great start at McConnellsville Elementary!

The first day of school vibes are simply top notch today!

Whether it's their first day of first grade, or their twelfth year of teaching, the excitement to get started never goes away. Have a great year, Casey and Lenyn!

Ready to rock and roll from day one. That's what we like to see!

Yesterday, the McConnellsville Elementary School community came together to celebrate the start of the year with its annual Back to School Bash! This event provides a chance to re-connect with friends and build a relationship with teachers before the year begins. The event included an inflatable obstacle course, popcorn, temporary tattoos, and ice cream.
As always, a very special thank you to the McVille PTO and our McVille staff members for their efforts in making this happen!

Share those first day moments with us!
If you'd like to share your first day of school pictures with us and don't mind us sharing them, send them to camdenphotos@camdencsd.org and we'd love to feature as many as we possibly can.
While we know that it is a very popular trend right now, we ask that you please refrain from submitting pictures to us with signs containing information about your child.
We're looking forward to getting the year started!

Yesterday, we spent the morning getting inspired to make every day: "the best day ever" at our Staff Opening Day Assembly!

Saturday To-Do List:
1. Empty the recycle bin.
2. Wash the car.
3. Lunch.
If you need to do any or all of these things, we have quite the deal for you! Come see the Camden Football and Field Hockey programs for this fundraiser. Money raised will support the teams and their activities, and your to-do list will be a little closer to a "to-DONE" list.

Tomorrow, we get the year started! We'll see you soon!
And to our friends in Pre-K, we're super excited to welcome you to school for your first day on Monday, 9/9!

This morning, five Camden Central School District staff members were honored for achieving 25 years of service.
They are:
Michael Carey - CHS Social Studies
Karen Davis - CHS Social Studies
Erin Gannon - CMS Science
Tracy Hooker - CHS Special Education
and Talie Sullivan - CMS 6th Grade
Congratulations, and THANK YOU for a quarter century of serving our students and community!

Final Reminder: CHS New Student Orientation and Open House is tonight, Tuesday 9/3. It is being held in two groups. See the graphic for times.
9th grade students, and any student who has not attended in-person classes at CHS (including transfer students) can tour Camden High School during this event.
Students will be provided with their hallway locker information, schedule of classes, a Chromebook, and a building map. All 10th - 12th grade students will have their schedules sent via Parent Square on 9/4. Parents may accompany a student. Please park in the back parking lot and enter through the rear auditorium foyer door, also known as DOOR H.
Don't hesitate to contact the High School Main Office with any questions at 315 - 245 - 3168.

2024-2025 Pre-K Families! Our Pre-K Orientation will be held on Wednesday, 9/4 (That is TOMORROW!) at McConnellsville Elementary School. Separate sessions are being held for AM and Full Day Students, and PM Students. See the graphic for times.

On Saturday, the girls varsity soccer team made these t-shirts as a team building activity. Each player's shirt features the handprints of their teammates, and hopefully, that feeling of connectedness off the field sets the tone for a great season on it.
The girls open the season on Thursday with a TVL matchup against Oneida. Kick time is set for 4:30!

Renowned science educator Steve Spangler is up to address the staff at this morning's opening day program. Considering we've already had Mrs. Allen holding a leaf blower, and a whole bunch of toilet paper is now in the front row, we think it's off to a good start.

Call it the Steve and Steve show. CHS Science Teacher Steve Keller took a moment to meet with renowned science educator Steve Spangler ahead of Spangler's speech at our Opening Day staff assembly!

Staff beginning to file in for Opening Day!
